3. Following successful payment, you will promptly be guided to schedule an onboarding session. During this session, we will meticulously review a tailored questionnaire to ensure your audio or video content is edited precisely to your specifications. This initial process is a one-time occurrence, and our skilled editors will consistently refer to your completed questionnaire and any subsequent instructions conveyed via email for all future episodes.

Yes, if your raw audio is more than 1 hour (60 minutes) you'll be charge per minute over the 60 minutes for example if your podcast raw audio is 70 minutes of audio, you'll be charge for an extra 10 minutes, an invoice will be sent to you for the extra time.

Our preferred method is WeTransfer, this is the best way to send us your audio files.

We will send your audio file back to you via WeTransfer  that will be delivered to your email inbox for you to download. We will send your audio back as a MP3 file but can sented as a  MP4, WAV, ACC, AIFF, for others please contact us.

Our Basic Editing Service for your audio includes cleanup, levelling, mixing, ID3 tags, and unlimited revisions. This is perfect if you wish to do some editing yourself and simply want polished audio to work with.

With our Full Edit service, you receive everything included in our Basic Editing Service, as well as the addition of your intros, outros, and ads mixed in that you have supplied. We also edit out filler words such as "uhm," "ah," or "you know," eliminate awkward pauses and breaths, and smooth out repetitions or unfinished sentences. This results in a completed podcast that can be immediately uploaded to your podcast hosting site and published to the public.

We endeavour to enhance the overall fluency of the dialogue by minimising filler words, repetitions, 'uhms,' and 'ahs.' However, it is essential to strike a balance between improving clarity and maintaining the conversation's natural flow. 

There may be instances when we are unable to remove these elements, such as when interruptions occur or words are cut off or clipped, which can result in an unnatural transition.

We also strive to reduce the usage of repeated words. For example, if someone repetitively begins sentences with the word 'we,' we will retain only one occurrence.

Additionally, we are capable of removing words like 'okay,' 'you know,' and 'alright,' as they do not contribute significantly to the conversation. 

However, it's crucial for us to know your preferences regarding the level of refinement you desire for your podcast. This will ensure that we achieve the appropriate level of consistency to align with your specific content goals."

Yes, it's possible, but not necessary. Our editors are skilled at executing your audio editing based on your specific instructions. However, there may be situations where you wish to actively participate in the editing process to specify what should be retained or removed from your audio.

To accommodate this preference, you can schedule a private consultancy session with us. During this session, we will play your audio and follow your guidance on which elements to keep or remove. 

This collaborative process can take place either at our studio or online, depending on your convenience and location.

An audiogram is a  video composition comprising audio, visuals, and graphics. Typically, audiograms feature a dynamic sound wave graphic that corresponds to the audio.

Audiograms are used to showcase captivating snippets from interviews or segments, providing followers with a glimpse of the upcoming episode's essence. 

They serve as an excellent means to engage and encourage listeners to tune in right after the episode becomes available.

These terms and conditions are effective from 1st January 2024.

1. Service Description:

1.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

Podcast City will provide audio and video editing services to transform client-provided content into podcasts or clips. This includes, but is not limited to:

a. Audio Editing: Enhancing audio quality, removing background noise, and adjusting levels.

b. Video Editing: Editing video content, adding graphics, and optimising visual elements.

1.2. Client's Responsibilities:

The client is responsible for providing the necessary audio and video content in a format specified by Podcast City. The client must ensure that they have the rights to use and distribute the content.

2. Deliverables:

2.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

Podcast City will deliver the edited audio and video files in the agreed-upon format within the specified timeframe.

2.2. Client's Responsibilities:

The client is responsible for reviewing the edited content promptly and notifying Podcast City of any necessary revisions within a reasonable timeframe.

2.3. The client acknowledges that there may be delays in the content delivery due to unforeseen circumstances beyond Podcast City's control, such as internet outages, power outages, communication outages, computer system hacks, and other disruptions.

3. Payment:

3.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

Podcast City will provide a secure payment system for the client to pre-pay their service or will issue an invoice. Payments can be made through the specified payment method by credit card, debit card, or direct bank transfer. Podcast City may, at its discretion, offer an invoice service for business clients only, with a strictly 7-day payment term. If an invoice is not paid within 10 days of issuance, a $15 late fee will apply.

3.2. Client's Responsibilities:

The client agrees to pay the pre-paid or invoiced amount within the specified timeframe. Failure to make timely payments may result in delays in the delivery of edited content.

4. Revisions:

4.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

Podcast City will make reasonable revisions to the edited content based on the client's feedback, within the agreed-upon scope of work.

4.2. Client's Responsibilities:

The client is responsible for providing clear and constructive feedback within a reasonable timeframe. Excessive revisions outside the agreed-upon scope may be subject to additional charges.

5. Confidentiality:

5.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

The service provider will maintain the confidentiality of the client's content and will not share it with third parties without explicit consent.

5.2. Client's Responsibilities:

The client acknowledges that the edited content may be stored securely by the service provider and its online cloud system for the client to access, but will not be shared with third parties without their consent.

6. Refusal of Editing:

6.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

Podcast City has the right to refuse any recording or visual video that is against local, state, or federal laws or deemed to be in bad taste or goes against community standards.

6.2. Client's Responsibilities:

The client will not discuss any matters before any courts in Australia, Commonwealth, State, or Territory or identify anyone before any courts in line with Australian law in any audio or video recordings, any live streaming event, or in any written communication. The client will not defame, harass, slander, say anything that is not truthful, or use any statistics or information that has not been thoroughly sourced about any person or group—business or Government agency. The client's recordings must align with community expectations. Podcast City has the right to refuse to release any audio, visual, or written works that are illegal or immoral or go against Podcast City's code of conduct and will delete such recordings. The client shall indemnify us, including our sub-licensees, employees, agents, and assignees against claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable solicitors' fees) resulting from any breach of your or your guest's representations, warranties, or obligations from any of the audio or video of your recording, written, or anything else involving Podcast City.

7. Packages:

7.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

Podcast City will edit the agreed-upon number of episodes each month as specified in the monthly package. The editing service will encompass everything outlined in the package description.

7.2. Client's Responsibilities:

The client commits to delivering the agreed number of audio and/or video episodes to Podcast City before the end of each month. The client acknowledges that episodes cannot be carried over to the next month, and it is their responsibility to ensure that the designated number of episodes is submitted for editing by Podcast City.

Additionally, the client agrees to provide all necessary files, including but not limited to recordings, intros and outros, ads, names of hosts and guests, and any other information required to complete each episode to Podcast City.

8. Audio and Video Timing for Editing:

8.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

Podcast City will edit up to 60 minutes of raw audio and/or video. If Podcast City receives more than 60 minutes of raw audio and/or video, they will contact the client with a pricing structure for the extra minutes that require editing.

8.2. Client's Responsibilities:

The client acknowledges that Podcast City will edit up to 60 minutes of raw audio and/or video provided to them. Any audio or visual content exceeding 60 minutes will incur charges in one-minute increments. An invoice for the additional editing time will be sent to the client and must be settled before the commencement of the next month.

9. Termination:

9.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

Podcast City reserves the right to terminate the service in the event of non-payment or breach of terms by the client.

9.2. Client's Responsibilities:

If the client is using a package, termination requires 1 month's written notice. For clients on a monthly package, termination will be effective at the end of the current month. For yearly payments, termination will be effective at the end of the annual term.

10. Change of Terms and Conditions:

10.1. Podcast City Responsibilities:

Podcast City reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions as required. However, the client will be notified via email and on the podcastcity.com.au website with a 14-day notice before the changes take effect.

10.2. Client's Responsibilities:

The client commits to reviewing the updated terms and conditions promptly upon receipt. If there are any queries, concerns, or uncertainties, the client agrees to contact Podcast City within 14 days of receiving the new terms and conditions. This allows for clarification or further discussion on any aspects that may require attention or explanation.
